Our Story

A Legacy on the Lake

The Church of the Kettles was established in 1900, built by volunteers on land generously donated by early settlers of the region. It stands today as the oldest institution in our community, a place of worship and gathering for over a century.

Roughly twenty-five years later, the Kettles Association was founded to organize sailing, swimming, and canoeing activities for the growing community of families along the shore. What began as informal summer pastimes became a beloved tradition of friendly competition and shared stewardship of the lake.

Today, the Kettles is a vibrant cottage community where generations of families return each summer to reconnect with nature, neighbours, and the timeless rhythms of life on the water.
