The board members and Lauren Black have been working hard to organize this summer’s regatta. This year’s regatta will allow social bubbles to compete in their favourite regatta events at their cottages while staying connected virtually with other Kettles members. Updates and more information can be found on the regatta Instagram page (@kettlesregatta) and in the Kettles Association Facebook group.
Registration for the regatta can be done so by completing this Google form

We have had such an amazing first few weeks and are excited to announce August registration is opening today. All forms are posted on the Kettles website here. Please email any questions and registration forms to Riley Comish at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Although we are called “Junior Programs” we do welcome participants of all ages. If there are any adults looking to take lessons they can do so through our family or private lessons. The whole family can learn to sail together at one of our family sailing lessons. We are also offering adult swimming classes as well as swimming fitness classes for anyone who is looking for a new way to workout.
We are also opening our programs up to guests and non-members in August so if you have any friends who may be interested in joining lessons this summer encourage them to visit our website or email Riley.
After the rain today at lessons I thought I would add in our weather cancellation policy for anyone with questions. Our programs will run as long as there is no thunder or lightning. Once thunder is heard all sailboats will return to the dock and swimmers will get out of the water until 30 minutes have passed without any thunder. If it is just raining and you feel safe driving to the Kettles our programs are on and we look forward to seeing all of you! Thank you to our amazing Bronze class who swam their timed endurance today in the rain and all finished with time to spare.

We had a fantastic first week of our Junior Programs. It was so great to see everyone back at the Kettles and having fun. We still have spots left in all our group swimming classes and most of our group sailing classes, so I encourage you all to register. We are also offering family and private lessons this summer for both swimming and sailing for participants who are interested in one on one instruction or who want to participate with members from their household. For any sailors who were looking to join beginner sailing this summer these private and family lessons are a perfect opportunity for you to learn how to sail with one of our amazing instructors.
Anyone who is interested in registering or has any questions about our programs this year or COVID-19 rules and regulations at Kettles please contact Riley Comish at email@example.com.

Dear Kettles Friends and Family,
The move by the Province of Ontario to Stage 2 and the release of specific guidelines for day camps has opened the opportunity to provide modified swimming and sailing instruction this summer that follows current mandated physical distancing expectations. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer our crafts program at this time.
As is true with just about everything else in 2020, the lessons will look very different. We have to follow provincial mandates and safety protocols set forth by the Royal Lifesaving Society, Sail Canada and the Ontario Sailing Association. We are still working out what that will look like at our facility.
There will be more information in the next week or so. We appreciate your patience and look forward to hearing the young voices booming from The Kettles in the next couple of weeks.
In light of continued restrictions for group meetings, we will be postponing the AGM, BBQ and Silent Auction.
We do have some fun plans for a socially distant Regatta. So please keep Saturday, August 1st booked and we will send out more information as we have it.
Your Kettles Church Board has been meeting regularly this spring to plan for the upcoming season at The Kettles. Since we have seen things starting to open up, we have decided to plan a few weeks at a time. Please mark your calendars for 11 am on Sunday June 28 and Sunday July 5. We will be connecting via Zoom on each of those days.
Our first zoom meeting on June 28 will be for on-line socializing and getting everyone comfortable with the Zoom format. Sunday, July 5 will be our first summer service of 2020, also on Zoom ,led by a long-time Kettles member, John Oldham. John will be joining us from Winnipeg. One of the positives that has come out of this isolation is that we can have John & Marlene join us and our members can join in from anywhere.
We will be communicating regularly the format and dates for the remainder of the summer services via email and on the website. If you wish to be on the Church email list please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yours truly on behalf of the Kettles Association,
Elizabeth Brooks, Lou Carsley, Brian Jarrett, Carolyn Carragher and Troy Comish
